One week intensive courses may seem like a good idea, but you get better value from spreading your tuition over a longer period. For example twenty lessons spread over two weeks does a better job than the same number over one week. The same number over three or four weeks is even better.
Driving requires the development of mental and physical skills. Your brain likes and needs time to absorb and digest these new skills, at least overnight. There is only so much you can take in at one time. Most people cannot concentrate on driving for more than three hours in any one lesson. After that very little learning will take place.
For these reasons we do not recommend very intensive courses to anyone, particularly beginners. However, if you have already done some driving, and need to get a licence in a hurry, then an intensive course may be your only choice. But remember, there is a big difference between completing a course and passing the test at the end of it. If you have to do it this way, we will help you do your best. Bear in mind, that no matter what others may tell you: pass rates for intensive courses are lower. They also place a lot of pressure on you to perform, and can make learning far less enjoyable than it can be.
It is also worth remembering that normally there is a waiting time for a driving test, which can make taking a course over a short time pointless.
