Theory test: getting ready

As discussed elsewhere, the best way to prepare for the Theory test (both the multiple choice and the hazard perception sections) is to do so along with practical on road driver training.

For the multiple choice part of the test, there are a number of publications that we recommend you study:

• "The Highway Code" by the Driving Standards Agency
• "The Official Theory Test for Car Drivers" published by the Driving Standards Agency, both of which can be obtained from your local bookshop
• "Test Yourself on the Driving Theory Test", available from CIA instructors

For the Hazard Perception part of the test, we recommend the following:
